[A/S] brake controlers

I have been towing about any kind of trailer you can name for 35 
years. RV's, utility, stock trailers, etc. The worst is a variable 
load. A rig that is empty in one direction and loaded in the other. A 
constant load is the best. Electric brakes are only so so under the 
best of conditions. I now have a 90 Chev with ABS brakes. I went with 
an electronic controler. It now hangs on the wall in my garage. I put 
the hyd. back on. I also unpluged the ABS brake module. <<<THIS IS 
NOT LEGAL>>> I am told that some ABS designs don't allow this. I also 
did one more thing. On a nice Saturday morning, I went to my 
favorite "bone yard" and loaded up on hdr. controller parts from junk 
pickups. I was able to find an old "Warner" electric brake adjuster. 
It does the same job that the old "door spring" adjusters did, but is 
mounted in the cab and is a large potentiometer. Turning it one way 
increases braking and the other decreases braking. I set my 
controller to the max. setting and go from there. It solved my 
problem. If any one knows where some of these old parts can still be 
bought, please post.
