Just following the thread regarding the electrical hookup between you Land
Rover and the vintage A/S.  If it hasn't already been mentioned, the wiring
standard changed over the years and your tow vehicle wiring will be
different than the A/S.  Check with the previous owner to determine if
you'll have to do some rewiring.  Even if it has the right plug, check the
wiring before connecting it to your tow vehicle!  For an electrical
engineer, the conversion will be simple! :)

For me, it would take a vom, a continuity device (12 volt), and a helper to
work with the brake and turn signals, etc.  I watched an experienced
technician work on my tow vehicle and the A/S and it took him more than an
hour to get things straight.  It takes a goodly supply of connectors and
possibly a new plug to match your tow vehicle receptical.

These comments are from a novice with little experience except for towing my
prize from Florida to Virginia.
