[A/S] Re: side or rear bath in 27'

We have a 1969 Overlander with a rear bath.  The 69 was the first 
year that the 70's body style was introduced. In relation to the 
newer designs, the large real bath takes up a lot of space. However, 
my wife and I travel with our two children and find the rear bath 
model very comfortable. We use it for showering, changing, and to 
store dirty laundry.

Look for signs of water leaks.  Water leaks over time can rust the 
bolts that bind the body and frame together. This can be a problem 
especially for trailers that were in storage for a long period of 
time. Breaking rusted bolts is a cause of frame separation.  There is 
a fix for this and it works well.

Our trailer is equiped with the original air conditioner.  It works 
well.  We've camped in South Carolina in July where the temprature 
was over 100 and the humidity in the high nineties.  We were camped 
on the beach with no shade.  During the heat of the day the trailer 
stayed comfortable, with the interior temprature in the high 70's. In 
less severe conditions, the interior temprature stays where we set 
it. On cool but muggy nights, it sometimes gets too cold when the 
compressor kicks on.  I have no idea if our old unit is typical or 
not.
