[A/S] Clearcoat Finish Formulation

Jim,

I was reading and deleting several-day-old e-mails and ran across a question
you asked Charlie Burke and I meant to help answer but forgot about.

Steve Ruth (P & S Trailer Service) told me in '98 that he was using
clearcoat finish obtained from A/S.  In September 2000 he told me that A/S
had shifted back to pre-coated panels (confirmed by Charlie Burke) and he,
Steve Ruth had quit buying A/S's clearcoat.  He told me he had begun
purchasing it from his own supplier.  Since his bread and butter comes from
doing quality polishing and stripping/recoating, I would assume he is trying
his best to obtain the best product available.
