Of course, depending on your exposure to RVing there are scary stories
for all occasions. On two separate occasions at our dealership we have
had a name brand receiver and another name brand draw bar break. The
receiver, mounted on a motorhome, cracked and separated with a vehicle in
tow. Fortunately the rest of the receiver remained attached. The solid
steel draw bar broke through the meat of the bar as the van/trailer
pulled off our lot.  These incidents were 7 years apart. The point being
that anything can happen to anybody's stuff, but the likelihood is very,
very slim. I still think these products are some of the best on the
market, in fact I use one of the hitches and have for many many years.
