I bought a string of these for Christmas thinking  that I could install
them under the fringe of the awning instead of the usual "cheezy lights"
one sees. I see on the package, however, that there is a warning "Avoid
contact with materials that are not heat resistant"
Nothing gets attention faster than a flaming awning.
