Welcome (c:  I know a lot of people are putting down the Pergo wood floors... 
doesn't have to be that brand (it's become a generic term like Kleenex).  
It's the beauty of wood without the weight.

I have w/w carpet, but after fulltiming for 15 months with two dogs it's 
gotten pretty dirty.  The red clay here in Tennessee doesn't help.

If you have kids and dogs and camp on dirt I wouldnlt get carpet.
