My owner's manual for my '66 Overlander specifies 20 1/2" from the top of
the ball to the ground...it says it is the same for all models except the
Caravel which is 19"...don't know for sure about a '63, but it is probably
the same.

My hitch type was "A" in the Hensley multiple-choice question...look at how
the ball socket is attached to the frame...I wonder if yours is the same?

Also, you'll need to measure the height of the receiver on the tow vehicle
from the ground.
