[A/S] Hitch Height

I'm not sure the '60s owner's manuals provided the information (and the
manual for my '66 is in my shop with the trailer, not here at home) but I
reviewed my daughter's owner's manual last week for her '72 Overlander 27'
because her hitch head needed to be reset.  Her manual specified a distance
of 19 1/2" from tow vehicle hitch ball to pavement.  That dimension has
probably varied somewhat over the years and between models but is probably
approximately correct for most Airstreams.

If you are unable to move the trailer to perform the measurement, maybe
another list member has an owner's manual handy and can tell you more
precisely.

I'm not clear on the meaning of "bottom of the ball even with the rail" but
normally, the two measurements a hitch manufacturer or installer would need
would be the distance between the tow vehicle hitch receiver and pavement,
and the distance between the trailer ball receiver and pavement.  The hitch
head will be set to match those two heights together.
