Ed,
We're pulling a 1998 19' Bambi (3600 lbs) with our 5000# rated Nissan Xterra. 
 I got worried after coming to this list but rec'd some nice mail from some 
on the list to reassure me.  It tows very well on the flats and adequately 
over the Hwy101 grade north of San Luis Obispo, CA.  We probably won't be 
taking it over the rockies or even the Sierras, though.

I guess the Pathfinder has a longer wheelbase than our Xterra.  My hsb is 
very satisfied with the Xterra and plans to keep it 'forever'.       -Norma
