My 2 cents worth.....the original one in my 64 was still working fine when I
wanted a larger one....bought dometic  (think) 1100  model almost 20 years ago
and it works just fine in fact sometimes gets too cold for lettuce......only
problem was that trying to light from inside so gave up and light from
outside....that plastic you tip up to see if is lit is expensive $72.00
and it lights fine from outside.....why would you want to limit yourself to
always having elect
plug in ?????too many lovely boondock places   keep a gas one    Pearl
