Do not attempt to take apart or repair any LPG regulator. To do so can 
endanger your life as well as others. The proper LPG Regulator that was 
installed on your Airstream was made by Fisher and Airstreams part number is 
600009, and costs $168.09. Airstream is just like anyone else, namely they 
would not have used a regulator that is that expensive unless it was 
necessary. To replace it with a BBQ type becomes foolhardy. One of our close 
friends is the national sales manager for Robert-Shaw controls, and even he 
cannot get parts for LPG regulators.    Lori
