[A/S] Trivia Question

Hi all,

Have been "lurking" in the shadows for some time, but now have a question
that may or may not test the collective resources of this list. 

We had a 71 airstream until '95, and then made a BAD error in judgement
and got rid of it to get a 5th wheel SOB.

My question is this:

What material were the bed mattresses made of at that time?  I know that
it was a type of "foam rubber".

We believe that our unit had the same ones as when it was new and they
slept GREAT.  We are now looking for a mattress for in the house and
would like to sleep as well as we did in the 'stream.

Can anyone help us.
