[A/S] Re: Dodge diesel with standard transmition.

I haven't had a Suburban, but my neighbor has and had a similar 
experience with it.  The transmission went out twice in the first two 
years since it was new.  He also had several problems with it that 
left him stranded and towed.  He traded it on a new ford a month ago 
and said it was the happiest day of his life.
I had another friend with a siminilar problem with a ford diesel, but 
only once, and ford covered it all.  
From what I have seen, I would go for the dodge in a flash.  Just 
don't let one bad vehicle stop you.  We have a 345 Airstream with a 
Isuzu diesel and an Allison transmission and we have had no problem 
towing a car with it.  It has never left us straneded.
