Did you say "owner's manual?"  Is there not a service manual available 
for the 67's?  My '72 has an owner's manual that is very brief, 
without many "nitty gritty" details, *and* a service manual that has 
many answers.  Tom Patterson's pages also contain, as he said, much 
information; they are a tremendous resource.
