Tim, I don't mean to be nit-picky, but . . . The bars load the hitch up tremendously, just not by adding, downward only, pressure to the tow vehicle. They do unload the rear axle though, and by doing so apply some pressure to the extreme ends of the tow rig, rather than the hitch point. bobb
