RE: [A/S] Equalizing Hitches

I like those 'experienced' guys. Trailing with my Suburban/Argosy 20' combo
poses no handling issues that I'm aware of, though I haven't (and won't)
push it to its limits...I'd rather stop. I'm glad I installed the
equalizing bars - it levelled the rig and it rides a lot better - but were
they absolutely necessary? I don't think so. If it was a half-ton truck, I
think the tongue weight on the Argosy would likely have forced me to the
equalizing hitch, but this time it was my option and I'm happy with what I
did.

Remind me to tell you sometime - my dad went to pick up a new-to-him
slide-in camper. Sheesh! He comes back up the street like 2 hours later,
and all you can see is front axle and oil-pan. It was an 11' camper on a
F-150 pickup...granted, the F150 was beefed up a little (some sort of
factory add-ons) but there was NO way he was gonna travel with it...he ended
up selling it.
