[A/S] Air Conditioner Extension cords

Airstream trailers are equipped with a 25 foot 30 amp city power cable. 
Providing an extension cord for this possible load (30 amps) with a max 2 % 
voltage drop, requires the following size and max length. This length has 
been shortened by the 25 foot cable that is provided by the coach.  Nothing 
smaller than a 10 gauge cord can be used when a 30 load may occur. Therefore 
in addition to the coach cable, the following size/length extension cords can 
properly used.  10 gauge max 13 ft., 8 gauge max 35 ft, 6 gauge max 60 ft.  
Low voltage at the Air Conditioner will destroy the compressor. So folks 
beware of the Heavy Duty 14 and 16 gauge cords. Heavy duty in those cases 
means that you can run over it without damage and has nothing to do with its 
current carrying capacity.    Lori
