The owner's manual for my 1995 Excella says that the AC will continue 
to operate - but less effectively - with voltage as low as 93V (I'm 
not sure about that number, exactly - I'm remembering.  It's somewhere 
in the 90 V range).  I've never encountered voltages that low, but 
have found voltages around 100 V this summer.  I'd be very reluctant 
to operate the AC under such low-voltage conditions, the mfg. 
notwithstanding.
