Stan:

     You don't need to change the trailer fitting; if it's a simple 
job, you could change the Sewer Solution fitting.  The simplest 
solution:  There is an adaptor that will allow you to connect a 
Valterra fitting (as on your Sewer Solution) to your trailer's 
Thetford fitting (I have one).  Many RV stores will have them; you 
could also check Camping World or Camper's Choice or AirstreamDreams.
