Nick, and others,
While the caravans are weeks long, the local unit rallies are a WEEKEND,
with a day or two tacked on one end or the other. Hey, most of these folks
are retired, we can't expect them to limit themselves to the weekend! These
weekend rallies are very similiar to what will be going on this weekend at
Harpers Ferry. Try joining the local unit and attending the functions. Who
knows, you might make some friends, and the kids (for those of you who have
them) may greatly benefit from the additional "grandparents".
