Re: [A/S] looking for a '49 Jeepster...

Robert:

Another Willys Way to tow your 1949 Clipper is with a repowered Willys 4X4
Utility Wagon. They were made up to 1964 and many have been up-engined.
My 1962 daily driver has a Ford 302 V-8, 4.27 axles and a Warn Overdrive. I
can cruise at 70-75 mph all day, and uphill too. Painted in the old 1940's
colors of a maroon body with birch and mahogany panels, a Willys wagon will
look like a classic woody wagon. A bit more practical that the Jeepster,
too, with much more interior room. They are the 1940's mini-equivalent of a
Suburban for towing your Clipper. And there are many more Wagons still
around and available than repowered Jeepsters.
