There are two different circuits. one for the high voltage, AC, Refrig,
etc., and another for the low voltage, mostly for lights, but there are
some 12V refrig. The low voltage would be used for self contained
instance, running off the battery(s), no plug-in or generator around.
The high voltage would be for the alternative. Our particular trailer
has all low voltage lights that are fed through a power convertor that
gets it's juice from 110 while plugged in and from the battery when it's
not plugged in.
