[A/S] hot air bubbles

Question for someone who knows plumbing.
When boondocking, my new hot water tank gets air bubbles in it. I have the
old air pressurized water system, so pressure usually drops a great deal
before I turn the pump on. The old tank never did this. Any ideas? Will I
damage my new tank?
