Re: [A/S] Breakaway Switch Wiring
A/S used many brands and models of BAS's over the years. Just try to
get one of the metal cased ones (UV does in the plastic ones), mount it
under the tongue jack flange on the bracket usually supplied with the
switch. The switch comes with a wiring diagram. One lead goes to the +
of the battery, usually on the near side of the fuse block, the other to
the brake wire. On the Caravel, the closest connections are under a
splice panel near the front of the belly skin, held in with screws. It
may be that the original wires are still tucked in the tongue channel,
and you can connect there. It would have been too much work to have
pulled them out.
