James,
 The breakaway switch should be fed from your battery(s) with an auto-reset
circuit breaker of 20-amp size. They're available from your local NAPA
store.

The other wire from the breakaway switch goes to the brake wire. Connections
are easily made in the hole in the bellyskin, near the step. Most A/Ss seem
to have a hole with cover at that point.
