That's it!   After we fix it we're thinking of making some kind of tray 
with an emergency drain to the outside for it to sit in - if it leaks 
again we don't want to have to rip up the flooring to dry it out again. 
 I'm kind of amazed that it was just sitting on the floor with no 
provision for containing possible leakage, considering the damage that a 
water leak can do!  We had intended to pull out the dinette (under which 
the water tank lived) anyway and replace it with a front gaucho bed, 
this just accelerated the process. :-)
