[A/S] Where To find Model listing

Bill & John,
There were five 1960 trailers at the Olema Rally last week.  All 
confirmed 1960's by the serial #'s & leaf spring axles.  All 
California Plant made.

What is interesting is that not one of the 5 had the Wally Byam/Ships 
Wheel emblem that I was expecting to see.  Bummer. All had the smaller 
"Airstream Wave" plates with an additional small model type plate.

There must be some criteria driving that Ships Wheel emblem other than 
year 1960. (maybe Ohio 1960?)

One of the 1960 Safari's was 22TDS0479, and looked like Johns'.  Another 
was 22TSS0673, different  window layout and had a streetside couch that 
made into a twin in addition to the front dinette that made into a 
double.  Seems to be that front dinette is the Safari claim to fame 
judging by the seven Safaris at Olema.

I'm logging all this data into the VintageAirstream.com archives while 
the VAC archive process is developed.  In the meantime it makes great 
discussion fodder....
