I purchased one of the Portawatz 300 from camping world primarily to have 
a power source to run a portable boom box (radio, CD, Tape) off my 
battery.  After receiving the unit I found that it produced considerable 
static and made  it useless for using it for purpose intended.  After 
reading the  attached instructions it specifically said it probably would 
not work with most "Boom Boxes".  So I would be very careful about use 
for a computer and would call the Mfg. and get specific information.  I 
have yet to seek if their is some filter solution I might use.
