I saw yesterday on the Sunday Car and Driver show, a little report on
the new GM "Pullers".   WOW, a new 496 big block gas engine that will
tow a zillion pounds. They call it the new Vortec 8.1 Liter engine.
What a sweet heart.   They also did a short piece on the new "Quiet"
Dura max 6.6 Liter turbo charged intercooled diesel.   300 hp and 525 ft
lbs/ torque, and the new Allison transmission.  If it had any more
torque, it would twist off the axles.  Can't wait to see one and drive
one.  I know a lot of guys that love Chevys and GMC's and would just
love to get rid of their noisy and problematic Ford's and Dodge diesels.
Those Cummins and Power Strokes are noisy enough to wake the dead.
