[A/S] Suburban furnace

My experience was similar.  The furnace would heat for a while, then blow
only cold air.
I decided to extricate the unit from the bowels of the A/S (extricate is the
operative word) and have it bench tested.  After a struggle, I got it out
and in to a service shop.  They cleaned it up, tested it and said that it
worked fine.  Then I had the job of reinstalling, which was accomplished
after much sweat and struggle, a LO!, it worked.

Jist of all this:  R & R is a pain.  Cleaning may solve the problem.
Difficult to clean without R & R.
