 If those tanks were recertified since Oct. of 1998, they should have
the new OPD valves installed.

I'd guess that the weight difference isn't much more than 10#/tank, so
aluminum wouldn't make a lot of hitch weight improvement. The "tare
weight" (empty weight) is stamped on the tank someplace. If someone will
check their steel tanks, I'll check the aluminum tanks on my Avion.
