If now have recertifed tanks go with them. However, you will need to get new valves in a year per some national safety regulations. You have seen the other posts on aluminum tanks costs and sources. Steel tanks are heavier then aluminum tanks but if you can physically lift a full 30# tank I'd stay with them. They are probably painted to match your trailer and look better then aluminum, if not all beat up and rusty. You can repaint anyway.
