Re: [A/S] [Airstream] what does it take to tow a 26 footer??

Sandy and Oliver,
If you shop the "previously owned" market, you can do much better than
new, the difference between gas and Diesel seems to be much less. A
friend just bought a '99 Dodge with Cummins and all the toys (including
trip computer thingy) for under 20Gs. It has about 35,000 miles on it
and the original owner paid something like 31Gs about 18 months ago. He
found the truck on eBay, and when it didn't sell due to not meeting the
reserve, my friend contacted the seller and made a deal.

I've seen several Dodges/Cummins in the '94 and '95 model year for well
under $15,000.00. At that price, you can afford to do some work to it,
just figure it as part of the purchase price. You could spend $5000.00
at the garage and still be in a truck for more than 1/3 off new price.
No, it isn't new, but 12 or 15 thousand dollars isn't chump change
either.

My wife found our Dodge in AutoTrader, go to http://www.autotrader.com.
Specify what you are looking for, and the radius you're willing to
travel to buy it, and see what pops up.
