[A/S] ADMIN: FAQ for this List

Hmmm... 

As the owner of this list I'm personally not crazy about sending newbies to a 
FAQ site.

I think it's kind of unfriendly when someone comes here to get some 
information and they are sent off to a website.

The point of this list is discussion...... when someone asks a question it 
opens up a discussion.  Many people impart their wisdom and ideas.  How do 
you know the answers you put up are the best answers for the question?

We recently had a few discussions which were very enlightening.... if the 
newbie had simply been sent to a website there would have been no discussion.

Tom Patterson has been compiling a list of the informative letters from this 
list since the beginning and they can all be seen on his website,  
http://www.tompatterson.com/..... this new egroups list is archived so 
newbies can read old posts if they want.

In the future before deciding administrative things on the list it would be a 
good idea to run it by me.  It's not that I don't appreciate the gesture, but 
I may not want to run this list the way someone runs another list you are on. 
Please, ask me before just taking things into your own hands... I might think 
it's a great idea...ideas don't have to be my own to be great (c:

I just don't like this one....
