Re: [A/S] Front Belly Pan Replacement
Jeff, Tom is right. Lots of a/s owners have the dent in the right or
left front lower section on the belly wrap or what I have heard referred
to as the banana wrap. It usually happens when the tow vehicle turns
too sharp or in a backing situation where there is a "Jack knife". It
also depends on the type of tow vehicle, and the distance between the
coach and the receiver. I have seen lots of vans do that type of
damage. Not a big deal, because that belly wrap is a thinner guage
aluminum, and much softer material. Usually with a little dexterity
and a rubber mallet, you can drill out the lower rivets, and get in
there to beat the dent out. If it is really crimped or creased, it may
have to be removed, repaired, or replaced.
