The last two pics (vview4 & vview5) are taken from inside the trailer.
For those who may be interested, here's a recap:
I removed the aluminum snap ring, then took both panes out. The plastic
was badly scratch and not worth putting back in, so I left it out. Once
the glass pane was cleaned, and all the gunk out of the frame, I
reinstalled it. Used plenty of Vulkem to get a good seal.
I spoke to Sandi (parts manager) at Can-Am RV and she was out of the
gasket material until maybe early October. A little head-scratching and
a garage search turned up some 3/8" ID black tubing. I installed the
snap ring in the window frame, and then pressed the tubing between that
and the glass. Great fit! That's the black stuff you see in the pics.
The two bumps on the bottom edge are where the tubing has to go over the
spacers that keep the glass in position.
I think this is easier than messing around with great gobs of sealant or
silicone, and the tubing can be removed easily if need be. So far, it's
watertight. And, we can now clean the inside of the window.
Oh yes...had to get some more tubing, and picked it up at Home Depot.
The SKU is 814778, and at $0.16 per foot it's a lot cheaper than the
other gasket material.
