[A/S] Vista View windows

I've got VV windows on my 31' Sovereign, and have been pecking away at
getting them looking presentable.  The former owner painted the glass
with silver paint (with a brush, no less), and most of that's been
removed.  Now I find that the interior of the outer pane has a coating
that's flaking badly.

The service manual is sketchy on how to remove/replace these.  Has
anyone removed them?  I'd like to know if the entire window unit must be
removed, or do I just de-rivet the outer frame to remove it and get the
glass out.

'Nother winter project.....if it ever gets here.  High temp in Phoenix
yesterday was 112.  Not a good time for working out in the sun.
