 JC Whitney has Riv-Nut kits. Although I found 'em in the catalog,
Whitney has a website at:

Although I bought my kit a number of years ago from a different outfit,
Whitney seems to have a nice selection. They have both "Rivet Nuts" for
sheetmetal and "Thread-Serts" for thicker material. Both are available
in either steel or aluminum. A Rivet Nut kit is $60.00, the Thread-Sert
kit is $90.00, or they sell smaller kits for either $15.00 or $18.00
with not as many pieces. Also, they have the Rivet Nuts or Thread Serts
in packages of 100 (smaller sizes) or 50 or 25 (large sizes, such as
3/8-16).

I almost never use sheetmetal screws when I can use RivNuts, especially
if: I might want to remove the attachment later or want maximum
strength.
