[A/S] WE DID IT!!!!!

Hello List:

Well, after 7 months of refurbishing, repairing and cleaning our 1979
Execella 500 we took our maiden trip this weekend.  I am happy to report that
other than a couple of missing covers from the running lights nothing broke,
fell off or otherwise caused us problems.

We did not have any problems towing (thank God!).  I was a nervous wreck but
our good old 3/4 ton Suburban didn't bat an eyelash.  It towed very well.
Raymond did a great job.

Now albeit we did not go far --  we did get out of the driveway.  We attended
our local WBCCI club rally about 50 miles from home.  We had a really good
time especially after we got there and I took an inventory and found
everything (except the running light covers) still where it belonged. No
problems returning home today.

Everyone who came to our trailer was very complimentary about all of our work
and of course that makes us feel good.  It did seem nice to sit in the
trailer on Saturday night with a good bottle of Chardoney and enjoy all of
our hard work.

We appreciate all the information we have received from this list. :)  We
probably wouldn't be as far along as we are if we had not had this source of
information.  But we still have some things to do and we will continue to
read and learn.

Raymond wants to polish it but that is down the road but for now we are
pleased with our progress.  Who knows we may go 100 miles on our next trip.
LOL

Thanks again and happy traveling.  We sure enjoyed our little trip!!
