I think I will try it early in the morning.  It was mid day but in 
shaded area when I tried the bix.  I did as per instructions spay on 
and let set for 15 min. the re appply another coat and allow to set 
for another 15 min. than tried to use a plastic scraper to remove the 
finish and goop then hosed the area down.  The Bix remover was never 
allowed to dry.  So I will try using a sponge and a shorter time as 
you suggest.  What ever this clear coat is made of it sure is tough!  
I know I don't want the clear coat do to the fact that it looks nasty 
after 37 years.  Thanks for you help I will try next week.
