[A/S] My new '72 Safari

Hi I sort of introduced myself last week. I'm Karen and my husband is
Craig. We bought a 1972 Safari 2 weeks ago and have started work. I
guess we felt running a business and raising a two year old were not
enough and now we have a new project.

The trailer is in good shape. It seems to have been well loved over
the years except for the bullet hole. It left the factory with the
upgraded 2 axels and twin beds. Then it was customized into a double
with a strange built in entertainment center. I would have never
known it was changed everything matches perfect but the serial number
says twin. The work was done in the 70 's cause that is the decor.
All mirrors and shag and velvet. They also added a trunk to the rear
and they moved they propane lines to the rear. We will be moving
those back to the front.

I did have a question in all this rambling. It seems to have these
attached jacks. When fully extended they can lift the trailer off its
wheels. What are they for and could I change a tire with them? I have
read lots of posts about the right place to jack your trailer from
and I didn't want to hurt it.

The orginal owner seems to be named Presley. I wonder if Elvis ever
had an Airstream?

I look forward to talking with you and if anyone ever needs help with
a satellite dish question ask me.

Karen
