Scott, I see no reason why you couldn't lash up a 12VDC power supply to operate the furnace. It should have a capacity of 5 amps or so; my furnace draws about 3.5 amps when running. Use a transformer, bridge rectifier, and a big ol' capacitor; make sure that the furnace is disconnected from the battery when this supply is in operation. <<Jim>>
