My new suburban furnace only runs off of 12V. The old one had a transformer built into it so that I could choose 12V or 120V. Does anyone know of a reason why I couldn't or shouldn't rig up something similiar so that the furnace fan does not drain my battery. Any advice for this mechanically inclined, but electrical novice would be appreciated. I would like to avoid getting a univolt type device at this time since I need to upgrade the propane system.
