I doubt that anyone can give you a definitive source of  parts for a '72 
model.  However, I suspect that stuff from later few years units may be 
the same for very similar.  But  again I don't know any definitve 
sources, although some others may give you some sources of used parts.   
My suggestion is to visit you nearest airstream dealer and ask to spend 
some time with their parts books which are quite detailed.  You might be 
able find  pieces that you can adapt.  If they are very distance call 
them in advance to enlist their cooperation.  Good luck
