Hi Glen et al:

That's what I thought too.  But one night,  wintertime last year in Taos, 
NM, we were running a small ceramic heater and I noticed a light show 
going on behind an outlet cover "upstream" of the one that the heater was 
plugged into.

I found that tightening the terminal screw solved the problem.  In the 
meantime I bought outlets that are designed for use with aluminum, as 
others on the list have mentioned.  Naturally, not wanting to rush into 
things, they are still in the wrappers waiting to be put in.

I appreciate the reminder.
