Re: [a/s] Don't give up five minutes before the miracle,
Hunts, et al -
AS worked for four days on the trailer when I first arrived and then
stopped as the couch was not here. The original work order had about
75% of what needed to be done on it. I did not have a copy of the work
order and assumed, wrongly, that the service writer had copied all of
my list. So when the folks stopped working in service on my trailer I
assumed they would wrap it all up when the couch came in. The couch
came in and was installed and then I was told I could pay my bill for
non-warranty work done. That was when I went to the service writer and
had the list lengthened by what was missed. That was all done the next
day. So, as I said in my previous note I would have only left a day
earlier had the work order been written correctly. The endup was that
it cost me a day.
Bringing the couch in from California was a pain in the butt to wait
for. But I had no choice. In hindsight I could have had it put in
somewhere else, but my experience with dealers has not been good so
that was not a good option. In the end I think it all worked out for
the best. I even had the stove top replaced because the knobs bound up
when they were hot and became hard to turn. Cooked spaghetti last
night in a big pot and I no longer have the problem.
I hope this explains it all.
Happy Trails.
