I read on one of the news websites (I forget which, I'm sorry) that 
Goodyear was replacing tires for free in most of their overseas 
markets, but not yet in the U.S. I guess there are too many of them 
out there for them to be able to afford it in the U.S.; that should 
remind them to do quality work the first time. I don't buy Goodyear 
tires EVER, since you can LOOK at them and see that the sidewalls are 
inconsistent. To me, that design may be cheaper than going to the 
effort of making sure the tires are symmetrical, but it's sure to be 
a stress area which will heat faster than the rest of the tire... and 
I have rather extreme driving habits. Not while towing, of course! :)
