Re: [a/s] My First Tow: A Lesson in Fear
For sure. When returning from Mexico this spring I found out too late that
some "weird people" had slackened the adjusting bars on my Hensley causing
one to bend. Found out while braking on a downgrade. It could have been a
lot worse. I was able to adjust the bars up tight and tow to the next town
and get hem adjusted as well as possible under the circumstances. The tow
back to the States was OK below 60 mph. above that it was fishtail time.
Hensley air freighted the needed part and I was OK after that.
Lesson: always check your hitch after a stay in anywhere. Idiots are born
more often that suckers.
