Good idea, I think it is actually illegal in some jurisdictions.

OTOH I have been in at least a couple of campgrounds which had "dry wells" under
the picnic table ... oil drum sunk in the ground, no bottom, filled with rocks,
and a garden hose sized hole in the lid ... into which you were supposed to dump
your gray water.
